FEATURED WORKS:
GRAPHIC DESIGN
Much of my career has been spent making graphics. Whether it be celebrating a saint's feast day, highlighting a specific devotion in the Catholic faith, creating a program or promoting an event, I have found designing to be one of the ways I best express myself and my prayer. Though I am not an expert by any means, I have grown to love learning the art that is graphic design and appreciate the medium in its many forms.
Social Media Graphics
Much of my career has been spent making graphics for social media. Whether it be celebrating a saint's feast day or highlighting a specific devotion in the Catholic faith, I have found designing to be one of the ways I best express myself and my prayer. The Bishop's Annual Appeal
In 2023, I was tasked with creating all of the marketing collateral for the 2023-2024 Bishop's Annual Appeal (copy, design, branding, photography, website management, etc.). Below are just a few samples of work I did for the project.
I had three main goals I wanted to achieve when I was creating the materials:
-
Better explain what the Bishop's Annual Appeal was and who benefits from the appeal.
-
Encourage donors to give online rather than by mail with engaging graphics.
-
Prayerfully discern a theme that supports the ongoing Eucharistic Revival in our diocese.

The Seminarian Poster
Each year, the Diocese of Baton Rouge prints a seminarian poster for parishes, schools and ministries with the hope of encouraging prayer for our seminarians and discernment.

In 2023, I was tasked with creating the seminarian poster under the theme "Called by Name." When prayerfully considering the design, Caravaggio's The Calling of St. Matthew kept coming to mind. After considering what the design might look like, I began working on a draft. Traditionally, the seminarians' headshots would be in a standard rectangle, but I changed the frame to arches to better match the Renaissance style of Caravaggio's work. Gold and wood detailing were finishing touches on the design.

I also believed it was important to include a QR code that would direct people to our Office of Vocations webpage, which linked to the "Meet the Seminarian" interviews.

Additional Graphics from My Career
Throughout my professional and personal career, I have been able to create various designs that display my love of typography, color and art. Here are a few additional works that are special to me.
